Fleurie Réserve Louis Leyre-Loup

An achievement.
La revue du Vin de France
The winemaker's word
"Quietly, away from mankind’s noise, in our chai’s intimacy, we patiently grown our Fleurie Réserve Louis Leyre-Loup.
After over a year of delicate care, for selected vintages – some years we refrain production, they come out of our barrels to render gentle wines with balance, fineness, roundness and power, all seemingly paradoxical yet definitely complementary characteristics that the art of vinification couples.
Fairly rare. Very fine. And remarkable."

REVIEWS

"This elegant and beautifully balanced Fleurie has stacks of fine tannins that give it a wonderfully silky texture on the concentrated medium-bodied palate. Very long textural finish that retains a light touch. Matured for 18 months in used oak casks. Sustainable. Drink or hold." James Suckling 93/100 (2019 vintage)

"With its wood aging and rich tannins, this generous, ripe wine has density and concentration. Black-plum flavors and succulent acidity combine into a wine that could age further. Drink from 2022." Wine Enthusiast, 91/100 (2018 vintage)

"Old vines and barrel aging give this wine a perfumed character. The top cuvée from this estate, it is rich and ageworthy. Ripe black fruits convey fragrance and spice. The wine needs to age further, so drink from 2020." Wine Enthusiast, 90/100 (2016 vintage)
