Les Granits de Bellevue

Viognier on granites
for an outstanding wine
The winemaker's word
"The granitic terroirs of our red crus are equally suited to making great white wines. To achieve this, growing the right grape variety is the key. We need to abandon Chardonnay that is best fit with limestone.
Les Granits de Bellevue are made of vines located on the Bellevue Climate that also give us long lasting and well-structured Morgons. The acidity of the soils translates into sharp, fresh and lively wines.
The natural roundness of Viognier, paired with a partial winegrowing in large oak barrels, brings suavity and oiliness.
The result is a harmonious and well-balanced wine.
Truly outstanding."

LES GRANITS DE BELLEVUE
FRUITY AND SMOOTH - VIOGNIER ON GRANITES
Les Granits de Bellevue are an aromatic wine with freshness
and minerality granted by a terroir of granitic soils.
A partial winegrowing in large oak-barrels adds roundness
and oiliness to obtain a perfectly balanced wine.
REVIEWS

"Fruitiness and unctuosity are the key words of this unique white wine. It is made of viognier vines grown in the Beaujolais Crus, on a Morgon climate called Bellevue.
A pioneer, the Domaine de Leyre-Loup has determined that the demanding and rich granitic terroir, well-known for its red wines, is a perfect match with viognier.
The color is a delicate pale gold. The nose expresses apricot, yellow peach, almond blossom and honey aromas. The mouth is fresh, generous and smooth."
