Morgon Domaine de Leyre-Loup
Nice fruit, fine and pure mouth, long finish,
fine tannins. A lovely wine!
Bettane & Desseauve
The winemaker's word
"The Morgon Domaine de Leyre-Loup are made through long vinifications at low temperatures to express the precision and richness of the terroir. These are combined with semi-carbonic maceration aimed at extracting fruitiness, aromas and structure. We aim to get all the tasting emotions of a true and sheer terroir.
This wine is the harmonious blend of our grape variety, terroir and work. Its length in mouth is as surprising as its mellow and delicate fore-mouth, only to reveal how much it can age.
It is an experience by itself."

REVIEWS

"If you ever wondered what a red wine with an aroma of violets smells like, here’s a very attractive example. For the very warm, dry year this is restrained and elegant with abright red fruit character on the fresh, medium-bodied palate. Long clean, quite crisp finish. Drink or hold." James Suckling 92/100 (2020 vintage)

"A very typical maturing Morgon with an appealing interplay between youthful tannins and a wide range of red fruit aromas with some developed savory notes. Long elegant finish with fine-grained tannins. Sustainable. Drink or hold." James Suckling 92/100 (2019 vintage)

"This is a Morgon born out of 50 years old vines, partially destemmed then grown 6 month in vats. The nose, quite gourmand, leans towards ripe red fruits. Then echoes a generous, rich and gentle mouth, with a spicy finish and sustained with silky tanins." Guide Hachette 2022, 1 star (2018 vintage)
